Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before we start planning.

Working with a travel advisor saves you time, eliminates stress, and ensures your trip is seamless from start to finish. Instead of spending hours researching and troubleshooting, you get expert guidance, insider access, and personalized recommendations tailored to your travel style. As a Virtuoso-affiliated advisor, I offer first-hand destination knowledge, global connections, and ongoing support so you can focus on the part that matters — enjoying every moment.

Almost never. Most of the time the price is exactly the same as booking directly. On the rare occasion there’s a small difference, the value of the perks (think complimentary breakfast, room upgrades, and hotel credits) more than makes up for it. And if you’d prefer to skip the perks and book the standard rate, I can do that too.

When you book a hotel through a travel advisor, the hotel pays us a commission directly, which means there’s no cost to you. It’s one of the ways travel advisors are compensated, and it means you get the expertise, the perks, and the support completely free of charge.

Send me an email and I’ll see if we can do a “takeover booking,” meaning I get added as the agent of record on your existing reservation. No extra cost to you, just your perks added on. It doesn’t always work, but it’s always worth asking!

Honestly, this might be my favorite part of the job. Tell me about your travel style, interests, and budget and I’ll put together a few destination ideas that actually fit. No generic suggestions, just thoughtful options based on what I know about you and where I think you’ll love. (“The Lookbook” fees apply for destination lookbooks)

The earlier the better! A good rule of thumb is 6 to 9 months before your trip, which gives us time to secure the best properties and reservations before they fill up. That said, I’ve put together incredible last-minute trips too, so don’t hesitate to reach out even if your timeline is tight. (Rush fees may apply for trips within 2 months.)

I currently book business and first class flights and work with trusted partners for private aviation and charter. Please note there may be an additional fee for flight bookings.

Yes! I arrange private villas, residences, and estates around the world, often with professional management, concierge support, and quality standards that go well beyond typical rental platforms.

Absolutely. I design executive retreats, corporate off-sites, incentive travel, and multi-generational family celebrations. If you’re coordinating a group experience, reach out and we’ll find the right approach together.

Yes, from long weekends in the U.S. to multi-week international itineraries, I design everything in between.

Cancellation terms vary by supplier and will be clearly outlined in your proposal before you commit to anything. I always recommend booking travel insurance through one of our trusted partners. Even the most carefully planned trips can be affected by illness, weather, or delays, and insurance ensures every detail of your investment is protected.

This is where having a travel advisor really matters. Through my in-destination partners, you have access to real support in your time zone, not a generic helpline. I’ve helped clients navigate everything from flight delays to on-the-ground emergencies, and I’ll be in your corner every step of the way.
